Aims & Objectives

The main aims and objectives for which Protection and Conservation of Environment” (PACE) is established are:

  • Ensuring conservation and rational use of natural resources.
  • Achieving a quality of the environment where the levels of pollution do not give rise to harmful effects on human health and the environment.
  • Protecting, preserving, managing, restoring and facilitating and functioning of natural systems, natural habitats, wild flora and fauna with the aim of halting desertification and the loss of biodiversity.
  • Serving as an environmental watchdog.
  • Ensuring sustainable population growth.
  • Promoting better management of natural resources and waste and encouraging a shift to more sustainable production and consumption patterns.
  • Developing strategic approaches to policy development, implementation and integration, including improving environmental governance and raising awareness.
  • To create public awareness about the potential benefits and perceived risks of biotechnology intervention in sustainable development and utilization of natural resources, human, animal and plant health, and environmental protection.
  • Empowering and improving life for disadvantaged communities to promote sustainable living.
  • Promoting voluntary action for environmental protection.
  • Engaging in environmental education.
  • Imparting training at the local/Village level on the basics of Information Technology (IT) for unemployed youth and women.
  • Identifying skills at the local/Village level for sustainable development.
  • Developing course material, training methodology and kits for imparting skills to local unemployed youth and women.
  • Conducting training programme in various skills i.e., (i) Agriculture, (ii) Small Scale and Cottage industry, and (iii) in emerging areas (service-oriented industry)
  • Empowering of women in poverty alleviation and income generation activities.
  • Contributing towards global peace for the enhancement of the environment.
  • Promoting eco tourism in all corners.
  • Ensuring safe corridors and habitats for endangered species.
  • Developing watershed management & Rainwater cultivation in crucial areas for restoring ecological balance.
  • Ensuring protection of Rivers and Streams.
  • Ensuring protection & preservation of aquatic living forms.
